Have furniture to donate?
AN UPDATE FROM SPENCER CONTACT
Lockdown restrictions are slowly being lifted. We’re praying that this virus which has kept families, schools, workplaces and churches apart will continue to get pushed back. We’re so pleased to let you know that Spencer Contact is open again. Some of our staff were able to return on 15th June and have been repairing, cleaning and valeting the furniture that we currently have in the warehouse.
We were able to recommence deliveries on 1st July 2020, although due to changes in working practices the number of deliveries that we can carry out will be restricted for the next couple of months. Collections have now started but, as we are currently working on a reduced diary system, this unfortunately will mean longer waiting times for deliveries and collections, please bear with us over this period.
We are still not in a position to accept any donations of furniture or household items at our warehouse but we are reviewing the situation on a weekly basis (please check our website and/or Facebook for up to date information regarding this before you travel).
If you telephone the office and it is answered by voicemail, please leave your name and telephone number and Ruth will call you back. We do not currently have all of our staff back in the office.
We are working hard to get back to ‘normal’ and our priority remains as it always has ‘to help those who are in need in this town of Northampton’. Please continue to support the work of Spencer Contact as we need this now as much as ever.
