Imagine being without a bed or a sofa, or even just some pans to cook your food with. It may seem unimaginable to you, but in reality, there are many people in Northampton and the surrounding villages that are without many essential items for their home. We are here to provide help for these people by providing second hand furniture and household items.
Update March 2021
We’re continuing to pray that this virus which has kept families, schools, workplaces and churches apart will continue to get pushed back. We’re so glad to see levels within Northampton falling and therefore we are pleased to let you know that Spencer Contact is open again!
We have been able to recommence deliveries and collections in a COVID-secure manner. This will have an impact over the next couple of months in the number of bookings we can take in a day, so please be patient with us. If you have a booking with us and develop COVID symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate, please contact us to rearrange your appointment.
We are in a position to accept donations of furniture or household items at our warehouse from Monday 1st March, but in order to be COVID-secure we are asking all those coming to call the office first to book a drop in appointment. We will be open Monday to Friday, and you can book a morning appointment between 9:30am -12:00pm or afternoon between 1:30pm – 4:00pm. We are asking everyone coming to our premises to wear a mask and do not come if you are suffering from COVID symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate.
If you telephone the office and it is answered by voicemail, please leave your name and telephone number and Ruth will call you back. We do not currently have all of our staff back.
We are working hard to get back to ‘normal’ and our priority remains as it always has ‘to help those who are in need in this town of Northampton’. Please continue to support the work of Spencer Contact as we need this now as much as ever.
